What families say
We had no idea there were so many selective schools to choose from. This helped us narrow it down to a shortlist that actually made sense for our daughter. We ended up applying to schools we had not even considered before.
We were not sure whether to aim for a fully selective or partially selective school. John helped us understand the difference and which one suited our son. It made the decision much clearer and reduced a lot of unnecessary stress.
Before coming to Bing's Academy we had a rough idea of the schools we wanted, but hadn't thought about the commute at all. Knowing the walk from the station made a real difference when we were deciding between two schools close in ranking.
With Bing's Academy's help and support, I got into St George Girls High School. It was my first choice.
Partially selective: a selective stream runs alongside local students from Years 7 to 10. At the end of Year 10, the selective and mainstream students combine for Years 11 and 12.

How to read these results
NSW Ranking
Schools are ranked by their overall HSC performance relative to all other NSW schools, including private schools. The ranking is based on publicly available 2025 HSC data. Rank 1 is the highest performing school in NSW.
Fully vs partially selective
Fully selective schools admit all students through the selective placement test. Every student in Years 7 to 12 earned their place. Partially selective schools have a selective stream (typically 60 to 90 places) that runs alongside a local-area mainstream intake. At the end of Year 10, the two cohorts usually combine for Years 11 and 12.
